Tips for Multi-Screen Content: Texture
When it comes to setting up multi-screen video walls, triple-wide screens, environmental projection or whatever other creative and unique setup you may have, you have to have great content. However, what does great multi-screen content look like?
Yesterday I wrote about Motion. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to read it… it’s short (for my writing at least).
The second most important thing you need to keep in mind is Texture.
Texture is what keeps the really bad no-detail video clips from being popular on sites like WorshipHouse. I mean take a look at what Visual Worshiper (Camron Ware) has done here. I intentionally want you to look at this picture, a still image, which actually is what the graphic on the walls is. It’s just some gorgeous texture.

When you create a multi-screen video setup, sometimes we all need to remember that motion isn’t the most important thing. In fact, I would argue that in Multi-screen setups, we must have LESS motion (see the last post) and MUST harness the power of a still image much much more often.
In Short:
A powerful, well-textured image will bring more environment than most motions will.
